Julie Beatty has served as the Coordinator of the South Burlington Business Association since 2015, working closely with the Board of Directors, member businesses, City leaders, and community partners to strengthen South Burlington's business community and support its continued economic vitality.

Julie earned both a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Vermont. Prior to joining the SBBA, she served for six years on the South Burlington School Board, where she developed a deep appreciation for community leadership and public service.

A longtime South Burlington resident, Julie lives with her husband, Dennis. They have two adult sons, Noah and Luke.

Michael Biama is the Vice President of Development & Property Management for ReArch Properties. Michael is responsible for growing ReArch’s Development and Property Management portfolio. He also spearheads all business development efforts and work closely with the marketing department to grow the ReArch Properties’ brand. Other responsibilities include providing asset management services for all owned or managed properties, overseeing the property management division, and leasing portfolio properties.

Michael brings with him years of experience and relationships in the commercial real estate and the brokerage community. He serves the community as a board member for the UVM Medical Center Foundation, the President of the Technology Park Community Association, and a former member of the South Burlington Economic Development Committee.

Michael started his career in commercial brokerage at Marcus & Millichap in Miami, FL.  After eight years at Marcus & Millichap, he returned to Vermont, where he joined Pomerleau Real Estate. While at Pomerleau, Michael was responsible for leasing efforts on their 1.5 million SF portfolio. He has experience with several commercial property types, including retail, office, industrial, and hospitality.

Michael earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The University of Vermont in Burlington, VT with a concentration in finance and a minor in Mathematics. He also has held real estate licenses in Vermont, Maryland, and Florida

Michael was born and raised in Redlands, California. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching football, and spending time with his wife, Nicole, and dog, Tucker.

Dennise R. Casey is owner and president of Casey, Inc., a woman-owned public affairs, media and communications firm founded in 2011. She has spent her professional career in the public and private sectors successfully managing complex projects – some may even call them crises – with sound strategy and resolve. From off-shore wind to trucked

natural gas, health care, education, regulated utilities, aviation, defense, and non-profits, there’s no company too big or small and no challenge too great. Casey also leads public opinion research projects, paid and earned media campaigns and provides expertstrategy and counsel to clients.

Before starting her company, Casey served in the administration of Governor Jim Douglas as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director, among other positions. Dennise led Douglas's successful re-election efforts in 2006 and 2008 and served as Deputy Campaign Manager in 2004 and State Field Director in 2002. She is now retired from politics (technically speaking).

Dennise is passionate about giving back to the state that given her so much. She serves as a Director and Trustee of Passumpsic Bank, Chair of the Vermont Public Board, is a gubernatorial appointee to the Judicial Nominating Board, past president of the board at Spectrum Youth and Family Services and Past Chair of the Vermont Women’s Fund Council. Additionally, she led Governor Scott’s Economic Mitigation and recovery Task Force and co-chaired US Senator Peter Welch’s Women for Welch committee.

Casey is sought after by media and public officials to give analysis and provide expert guidance and support. She resides in South Burlington, Vermont with her husband, Neale Lunderville and their rescue dogs, Molly and Otis.

Matt Cota founded Meadow Hill in 2022 to provide management and advocacy assistance to Vermont trade associations focused on energy, transportation, communications, housing, and economic development. Cota is a former journalist and teacher with a master’s degree in public policy and more than 15 years of experience managing and advocating for non-profit organizations. Elected to the South Burlington City Council in 2021, Cota has also served as a Commissioner on the Green Mountain Transit Agency, the Plainfield Planning Commission, and is the former Chair of the South Burlington Development Review Board. As the founding director of the Split the Ticket Fund, Cota has organized the delivery more than 100,000 gallons of free heating fuel to Vermont's neighbors in need.

Vijay Desai is the founder and principal consultant at Desai Management Consulting, a Vermont-based global professional services company that delivers value across the business lifecycle in various industries. He has over 30 years of experience in engineering, project management, and consulting, and holds multiple credentials, including PMP, P.Eng., and SSM. Vijay helps emerging and fast-growing companies in North America define and reach their next level of performance by offering value-based advisory and consulting services that deliver flexible business solutions within a framework that connects strategy to execution. He is also a co-founder and executive director of Technology for Tomorrow, a non-profit organization that provides affordable technology education and counseling to those in need. He is passionate about empowering people and organizations to achieve their full potential.

Roland Groeneveld is the CEO and co-founder of South Burlington-based OnLogic. The company  designs and produces small, specialized computer systems for embedded and industrial applications. Roland and his wife, Lisa, founded OnLogic in 2003 and have grown it from a small startup to a global business with offices in the US, Europe and Asia.

Prior to OnLogic, Roland served in management and consultancy roles at IT and Internet infrastructure companies in Europe. He has a background in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and is passionate about automation and advancing the Internet of Things. Roland and Lisa live in South Burlington together with their two kids.

Mike Keller does business advisory board work and related consulting.  Mike is a member of the South Burlington Rotary Club and past chair and long time board member of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mike and his wife Lisa have been residents of South Burlington since 1983 and their children, Kyle and Lexi, both attended South Burlington schools through the years.

Brad Krompf is the Executive Director of UVMHN Medical Group. He has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Brad lives with his wife and two children in South Burlington and enjoys running, skiing, and board games with his family.

Eli has helped build and now Leads a 350 person company, across two states in one of the most competitive industries in America: supermarkets. In almost 40 years of business, Healthy Living Market has emerged as Vermont's premiere natural foods grocery store, selling a highly curated selection of natural, organic, and local products. Healthy Living is Vermont's largest natural foods store, and a proud part of the three communities it operates in; South Burlington VT, Williston VT and Saratoga Springs NY.

When he's not working, he's laying down turns on Vermont's highest peaks in the winter and on its most twisty roads in the summer on his Ducati, or relaxing on Lake Champlain with his friends and family.  He lives in Chittenden County with wife Portia, sons Beau and Wes and their fierce house cat Princess Fiona.

Christopher Loso is Vice President of Loso's Professional Janitorial Services, Inc., serving since 2012.  Previously, he worked as a management consultant for 20 years at Arthur Andersen LLP, BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting), Deloitte Consulting, and Booz Allen Hamilton.  He also worked in the Washington, DC office of former U.S. Senator James M. Jeffords and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.  Christopher is an appointed member of both the Vermont Workforce Development Board and Vermont State Training Grant Program Committee.  He previously served as the Chair of the Governor's Committee for the Employment of People with Disabilities from 2014-2016.  He has been a faculty member, teaching management courses, at Columbia University's School of International & Public Affairs, his alma mater, since 2013.

Duncan Macdonald is the president and owner of Play It Again Sports in South Burlington.  He has run the store for the last 23 years and served on the franchisee advisory council and numerous buying committees for the national PIAS franchise.  Duncan has been involved in the local sports community as a coach for soccer and lacrosse and as the past president of SB Youth Lacrosse. He currently serves on the SB planning commission and lives in South Burlington with his wife, Julia, and two sons, Patrick and Andrew.

Jack and his wife, Lynn, own and have operated Berkshire Hathaway for over 40 years.  Berkshire Hathaway, headquartered in South Burlington, specializes in residential real estate sales, investment sales, exchanging, consulting, and property management.  Berkshire Hathaway has 11 offices located throughout Northern Vermont.

Jack and Lynn have lived in South Burlington for the past 35 years.  They have two grown children, Amy and Brian, who attended South Burlington schools and currently live in South Burlington.  Jack is and has been active as an officer or member of several different professional, charitable, and sporting organizations.  In his spare time, Jack enjoys playing basketball and managing some local sporting events.

Matt is a Fractional CFO at engageCFO, a fractional CFO and operational finance firm that provides a broad range of services and solutions to help organizations facilitate change, achieve their goals, scale operations, and optimize performance.  Prior to joining engageCFO in 2024, Matt helped to successfully grow, run, and sell Bibens Ace Hardware, a 7-store chain of family-owned Ace Hardware stores located throughout Vermont.   Matt lives in South Burlington with his wife, Erica, and three children, Kylie, Brayden and Hudson.

Mike Simoneau, together with his wife Geri Reilly, own and operate Geri Reilly Real Estate, located at 340 Dorset St. in South Burlington. Mike graduated from Rice Memorial High School in 1969 and the University of Vermont in 1973. Mike, Geri and family have lived in South Burlington for over thirty years. They have two children, Reilly and Mike Jr., currently attending UVM.

Mike has a long history of community involvement, including years of youth coaching and civic volunteerism, including his recent Chairmanship of the Form Based Code Committee. He currently serves on the Howard Center Board and is a past member of the Burlington Boys and Girls Club Board.

Charlotte Steverson is a highly experienced event planner, fundraiser, and business owner.

As Co-Owner of Kestrel Coffee Roasters, Charlotte manages general operations, including HR, finances, and service standards. She handles bookkeeping, catering and event coordination, wholesale sales, and supervises the Baker and Production Assistant.

With over a decade of event planning experience, including a role with a New York City firm and her current part-time position at Spectrum Youth & Family Services (2018-present), Charlotte brings a rich perspective to both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She values her unique experience as a concurrent employee and employer.

Charlotte is active in various community organizations such as the South Burlington Business Association, the Vermont Specialty Food Association, the Illuminate Vermont Planning Committee, and Vermont Womenpreneurs. You’ll often see her out and about at various networking events, whether she is serving coffee or engaged as an attendee.

Passionate about the best guest experience and focused on providing excellent hospitality, Charlotte thrives on anticipating and fulfilling guests' needs, which is central to Kestrel’s mission.

Charlotte lives with her husband and business partner, Johnny, and their adorable corgi, Trooper, in South Burlington.

Heather Tremblay is a Vice President, Asset and Property Management, with 26 years of real estate industry experience. Heather is responsible for 1.2 million square feet of property in Vermont and Maine, including the 610,000 square foot University Mall in South Burlington, Vermont, the state’s largest enclosed shopping center.  Heather oversees all areas of services provided at these properties, including management, construction and leasing. Heather holds a BA from the University of Vermont and a Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Real Property Administrator designation. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is Past-President of the Vermont Retail Association.

John Wilking is principal of Neville Investments, a private equity real estate investment and management firm.  Neville owns office and warehouse assets in Vermont and New Hampshire, and is actively pursuing acquisitions throughout New England.

John is an active member and former President of the Rotary Club of South Burlington, a member of the South Burlington Development Review Board, Chair of the South Burlington Economic Development Committee, and active in several other South Burlington based committees and organizations.  John has lived in an 1864 farm house with his wife and kids since 1993, and is known for the holiday light show at their house.

Adam and his wife of 37 years lives and works in South Burlington.  After spending 35+ years in IT, Adam, with Lynne’s help and guidance, decided to turn a hobby into a business – and we now have Kitchen Tune Up, Burlington VT.  What we love most about this franchise is that we get to reuse so much of what already exists in a kitchen, thereby reducing waste, time and cost.  So finally I can say that I love what I do every day!
