Lt. Gov. Scott Addresses SBBA

Over 100 members of the city’s business community gathered at The DoubleTree Hotel for the South Burlington Business Association’s first annual meeting , May 19. Guest speaker Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott discussed the legislative session and its impact on local businesses. The SBBA, a non-profit organization, aims to foster business in South Burlington by promoting responsible growth and economic development. The event was sponsored by TruexCullins, Inc. Three new members were elected to the board of directors. Duncan Macdonald of Play It Again Sports, Jason Williams of the University of Vermont Medical Center, and Stefan Bachofen of Country Business will each serve two year terms on the board. The SBBA is proud to partner with South Burlington School District. South Burlington High School senior Vaishnavi Andra developed a webpage (sbbabiz. com) for the organization as part of a school-based internship. Logan Hall-Potvin, a photographer (Hall-Potvin Photography), and a senior at SBHS took photos of the event.
