South Burlington has a vibrant and diverse business community. Several long-time business leaders and community members have come together to form a business association whose primary goal will be to promote communication, dialogue and economic development within our great city. The newly formed South Burlington Business Association (SBBA) invites members of the business community to join their efforts to engage in communication with the general public, municipal government and our local school system. The SBBA is dedicated to making South Burlington an even better place to live and work.
The first public meeting of the SBBA will be hosted by and held at the Burlington International Airport Tuesday, September 16, 2014. The meeting will begin at 7:30am in the airport's mezzanine area with coffee and muffins, followed by an introduction at 8:00am by Rick Milliken of the Doubletree Hotel. The event will feature a presentation from Airport Director Gene Richards, who will speak about the airport's impact on the South Burlington business community as well as the growth and partnership the airport hopes to have with the city of South Burlington moving forward.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for local business people, both owners and managers alike, to learn about the goals and mission of the SBBA, and a chance to network with other business owners and operators. The next meeting will be held October 21, hosted by Fletcher-Allen Health Care as they discuss the plans for their future outpatient facility in South Burlington.
Regardless of the size of your business you are invited to attend and participate in this inaugural event. Be a part of the creation of this important new community organization, the South Burlington Business Association: Fostering Business in South Burlington.
